Coming Sunday

Randy needs our help this Sunday with boat repairs. As he is working on the boats we row, please plan to stay after practice and help. Randy is working diligently to get our boats ready for the racing season. It is to our advantage to offer all the assistance we can.
Thanks. -- Betsy

Miami went bust

From Betsy:

Due to the decreased entrants in the women's masters 8+, we will not be attending the Miami regatta after all. We will practice our usual M/W, T/F rower lineups. We are trying to schedule entries in the GAR Regatta on April 18. This regatta is in Gainesville sponsored by Gainesville Area Rowing. GAR has been a strong supporter of ORC in the past. I would like us to consider this race even if the entries are very limited. It is a race we can accomplish in one day without the added expenses of staying overnight. Please check your schedules and hold this date open if possible. It is a Sunday.

We have trained hard over the last several weeks. We will keep up the new level of rowing and strive for better technique. I think we all are committed to giving this race season our best. To that end, let's keep our focus on what is important to our boats. We are a strong team. It isn't always how perfectly you row, but sometimes it's how committed you are to rowing. So bring on the next one!

Thanks to everyone who selflessly gave up their own agendas to accommodate the need to row anticipated race lineups. We ARE a team.
