Online calendar

A Web-based, password-protected calendar for our crew is now online so that we can keep track of club events and regattas. The address: http://my.calendars.net/orcwomen. It includes the major regattas in which we have discussed competing, as well as birthdays and rowing camps and clinics currently offered.

Please sign in and add your birthday. If you did not get an e-mail notifying you of the name and password to make changes, e-mail audreahuff@yahoo.com to request them. Enjoy!

Southern Sprints a success

Months of training and hard work paid off for ORC with many GOLD winning performances at the 2004 Southern Sprints Indoor Rowing Championships, hosted by Florida Tech crew.

RESULTS:

Lisa Snyder successfully defended her Masters LtWt Women's 40-49 title with a PR 7:32.1, earning an all-expenses-paid return trip to the C.R.A.S.H.-B Sprints World Indoor Rowing Championships in Boston. Lisa also got GOLD in the Open LtWt Women's 500m Dash.

Betsy Baker earned GOLD and Gwenn Hamilton, 2nd in the Veteran LtWt Women's event

Debbie Kiely got GOLD and Jennifer Duquette, 3rd in the Masters Women 30-39

Tanya Bowley scored a GOLD in Masters LtWt Women 30-39

Coach Chris Pucella: 2nd, Open Mens LtWt in both 2K and 500m events

Jeff Hamilton: 6th, Veteran Mens

Greg Kerrebrock: 8th and John Ingram, 9th Masters Mens 40-49

Matthew Miller: 3rd in Masters LtWt Mens 30-39

Mark Hatter: 4th in Masters LtWt Mens 40-49

Congratulations to all for their outstanding efforts!

Special thanks to Matthew Miller for putting together some pretty outrageous & entertaining training pieces over the last several months.

Also, thank you to Vicky Hatter, Vicki Bishop, Julie Jensen, Jeanne Bertossa, Nancy Lowtan, Karen Dorr, Cara Couvillion and Robert Thomas for coming out to Melbourne on a cold Sunday morning cheering and supporting!
